Cape Tormentine is situated on the eastern most point of New Brunswick, belonging to Westmorland County. Cape Tormentine is 95.1 km (59.1 mi.) east of Moncton, traveling along Highway 15.

In the 1800s, Cape Tormentine was a thriving train and boat town; however, around the time the Second World War was over, the train station was no longer operational.

Cape Tormentine is positioned just minutes from the Confederation Bridge, providing visitors with an excellent base point for touring New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. Cape Tormentine is advantageously located beside the Northumberland Strait, offering enticing views of the water and pretty of pretty shoreline scenery, including the Confederation Bridge. The Cape Tormentine Lighthouse can be found at the local wharf, and is a key attraction in Cape Tormentine. As well, Cape Tormentine is home to an annual Bluegrass Festival.
