Richibucto is a small community, situated along the shores of the Northumberland Strait on the east coast of New Brunswick. Richibucto is also a member of Kent County. The town name comes from a Mi'kmaq term that means "river of fire," which came to be because of beautiful sunsets that occur here. Richibucto was a thriving shipbuilding community in the 1800s, and consisted of the third largest port in the province. Richibucto is largely a fishing community today and also enjoys success in the tourism industry. Richibucto is 73.7 km (45.8 mi.) north of Moncton.

Richibucto is the proud home of the Bonar Law Historic Site, which is where Andrew Bonar Law, a British Prime Minister in the 1800s, was born. As well, roam around the farmhouse and discover artifacts and exhibits. Richibucto is also home to a one and a half century old lighthouse, also featuring picnic areas and plenty of pretty views of the ocean and coastline. A ranch in Richibucto offers horseback riding lessons and extensive trails. Enjoy swimming and relaxing along the shores of Richibucto, among many other exciting ocean activities.
