Memramcook is known as the "cradle of Acadia." Acadians would flock to the area in large numbers after the expulsion and forge a new home here. Memramcook can be found in Westmorland County, in the south eastern corner of New Brunswick. The first of its kind in Westmorland County, the Acadian university of Memramcook has graced the land since the 1800s. As well, the first Acadian Convention occurred here in 1881. A religious parish opened its doors here in 1781. Memramcook is situated just 22.1 km (13.7 mi.) southeast of Moncton.

Monument-Lefebvre National Historic Site offers a valuable insight into the history of the Acadians, including exhibits, a theatre and much more. The Memramcook Museum includes various artefacts, photography, historical facts and memorabilia. Drive over the covered bridge just outside Memramcook, constructed in 1930, or visit a vineyard and an orchard along the way. Home to many Acadian events, Memramcook is home to a woodsmen competition, an antique car event and a bluegrass festival.

Memramcook accommodations include bed and breakfasts and resorts.
