Gagetown is a small community situated in the south central portion of New Brunswick. As well, Gagetown is positioned in Queens County, along the shores of the Saint John River. The town name comes from Sir Thomas Gage, a British General who was granted a large chunk of land that has since transformed into present day Gagetown. Gagetown is also home to CFB Gagetown, which is an army training facility. Fredericton is only 67.9 km (42.2 mi.) northwest of Gagetown.

Gagetown is the proud home of the Queens County Historical Society and Museum, which displays the Tilley House and the Courthouse. As well, this museum also delves into the history of the community via exhibits, artefacts, memorabilia, genealogy and more. Another arts and crafts store offers oil painting, wood and pottery. Gagetown offers hunting trips, a tour of a fruit growing farm, a bird watching tour, a marina, hiking trails and a beautiful river running through the community that makes relaxing outdoors all the more enticing.
