Bouctouche is a small but popular community, situated on the eastern shores of New Brunswick, along the Northumberland Strait. Bouctouche belongs to Kent County and can be found at the mouth of a river of the same name. Originally, Bouctouche was known as Chebooktoosk. Bouctouche translates into meaning "big little harbour." The first settler to Bouctouche came in 1785, a Francophone known as Francois LeBlanc. Exactly two hundred years later, Bouctouche would become an incorporated community. Bouctouche is a distance of 56 km (34.8 mi.) south of Moncton.

The Irving Eco-Centre, created to protect the sand dunes in and around Bouctouche, offers guides to the dunes and extensive insight into the preservation and beauty of the sand dunes. For those that are interested in the local Acadian history, the Kent Museum is a must stop, as it features artifacts, crafts and much more. A local lighthouse, constructed in 1883, stands proudly at the Bouctouche shores, and adds to the beautiful scenery of the coastline. Another lighthouse also stands near Bouctouche, still operating to this day. Visitors to Bouctouche can enjoy live theatre, fine dining, guided tours, a farmers market and much, much more.

Bouctouche accommodations include bed and breakfasts, cottages, inns and campgrounds.
