Deer Island Weather

As Deer Island implies it is, in fact, an island. Situated on the southern shores of New Brunswick, Deer Island is minutes from the United States Border in the Bay of Fundy. Deer Island is also in the area of the largest tidal whirlpool on the western half of the planet. Deer Island is primarily a fishing and aquaculture island. A ferry from Deer Island travels to and from Letete, New Brunswick annually. As well, including a ferry ride, Deer Island is 89.7 km (55.7 mi.) southwest of Saint John.

Deer Island is a spectacular place, home to not only breath-taking views of the ocean and the surrounding land, but of an abundance of marine life, shore birds, the amazing "Old Sow," the largest tidal whirlpool in the Western Hemisphere, and so much more. Deer Island is home to multiple beaches, a bay, a marine shore, fine-dining, a beautiful park that offers trails, sandy beaches, picnicking, water sports and so much more.
